Sarasota, FL — July 1, 2026 — Two Sarasota hotels will soon debut new identities inspired by the region’s coastal environment, as Ameniti Bay and Magnolia Pointe transition into Caretta Landing Sarasota and Coral Pointe Sarasota on July 1, 2026. The hotels will join the Ascend Collection by Choice Hotels.
The rebrand reflects a deeper connection to Sarasota’s natural surroundings. Caretta Landing takes its name from Caretta caretta, the loggerhead sea turtle commonly found along Florida’s Gulf Coast, while Coral Pointe highlights the area’s vibrant marine ecosystems. Together, the new names are designed to celebrate the character and beauty of the local destination.
Each hotel’s identity is inspired by Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium, supporting its ongoing efforts in marine research, conservation, and education. This story will come to life throughout the properties through curated artwork, thoughtful design elements, and educational touches that highlight the coastal ecosystems that define the Sarasota community.
